Blue Jays enter Miner Invitational

ROLLA--On Saturday, the Westminster College men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Rolla for the Miner Invite, hosted by Missouri S&T. There, they competed against some of the top NAIA and NCAA Division II-III teams in the region.

Women's results:

Natalie Stewart finished 13th overall in the javelin with a throw of 104 feet and 7.12 inches.

Men's results:

Lane Martin finished 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with 11 minutes and 56.61 seconds.

Michael Giles finished 21st in the 800 run with a time of 2:03.2. He placed 50th overall in the 1,500 run with a time of 4:20.79.

Jason Wilkerson placed 62nd overall in the discus with a throw of 81-7.53.

Bryce Hale finished 34th in the javelin with a throw of 128-1.4.

After spring break, the Blue Jays will be back in action on April 5 at the Blue Tiger Open, which is hosted by Lincoln College in Jefferson City.
